A Ischia il Processes and Technologies for a Sustainable Energy

L'ENEA, in collaborazione con l'Associazione CO2Club, con la Sezione Italiana del Combustion Institute Int. e con il Comitato Italiano dell'Internation Flame Research Foundation, ha organizzato la prima edizione del congresso Processes and Technologies for a Sustainable Energy, joint meeting del XXXIII Event of the Italian Section of the Combustion Institute e del 2nd Sustainable Fossil Fuels for Future Energy – S4FE.
L'evento, a carattere internazionale, in programma dal 27 al 30 giugno ad Ischia, intende porre all'attenzione di un vasto e qualificato pubblico di operatori di ricerca, rappresentanti del modo industriale e amministratori, il tema attualissimo dell'uso sostenibile dei combustibili fossili.
I lavori della conferenza saranno focalizzati sui temi dell'efficienza energetica, della combustione pulita e delle tecnologie di cattura e sequestro della CO2 quale primo gas climalterante.
Il congresso sarà organizzato in sessioni monotematiche, aventi per oggetto i seguenti temi di ricerca:
- CO2 Capture
- CO2 Storage (CO2 transport, quality monitoring and its impact for the storage)
- Diagnostics (diagnostics techniques and sensors for the understanding, monitoring and control of combustion)
- Energy Issues
- Enforcement of the European Directive about CCS Technologies
- Flames (laminar and turbulent premixed, non premixed flames, fluid-dynamics, stability and dynamical issues)
- Heterogeneous Combustion (coal, char, biomass, including pyrolysis, gasification, and ash formation, catalytic combustion)
- IC Engines and Gas Turbine Combustion (automotive engines, gas turbine for propulsion and power generation)
- Large scale CCS demonstration projects
- New Technology Concepts (mild combustion, oxy-fuel combustion, mini and micro combustors and other novel combustion processes with particular regard to the CCS ready combustion processes)
- Pollutant in Combustion Systems (formation, growth and destruction of soot, PAH, nanoparticles, dioxins)
- Reaction Kinetics (kinetics of reactive flows, mechanism generation, simplification and reduction)
- Safety Issues
- Stationary Combustion Systems (combustion in fluidized beds, incinerators, boilers and furnaces, plants and industrial application).
